Hello Crew!
We hope that you are all enjoying your summer!
This update carries some long awaited and exciting news! After all the support and patience you have shown, our Chinese partners have confirmed that the production will soon come to an end, and before the end of the year the boxes will leave China and will be shipped all across the world!
By public demand, this September we have asked the factories to photograph the new components (plastic) and we will showcase those photos on September's update. Likewise, in October we will showcase the photos of the printed components. By November 15th, the boxes will have been shipped to their respective fulfillment center and after that you can expect to get your copy very soon! So strap on your spacesuit and get into your rocket and get ready for Sci-Fi adventures!
Parallel to the games reaching the fulfillment centers we will run a mini-campaign for the Deathtouched content. This content will be retroactively sent to the fulfillment centers so we don’t delay any further. As a backer of the original USS FREEDOM you can pledge $1 to gain access to the new pledge manager and request free of charge all the new Deathtouched content. The campaign will run for 2-3 weeks and immediately after it ends USS FREEDOM will leave the fulfillment centers and come straight to your table! Our Goal is to have your games before the end of the year!
And some news…
This October we will be in the Essen Spiel 22 and it is a wonderful opportunity to meet you! You can find us in Hall 1, in 1D121 under the banner of Big Board Theory and Dreamcraft Games. If we are lucky we will have some components and playable prototypes of USS Freedom and Deathtouched. Most of all we will be treating everyone Ouzo so be prepared for a lot of .. Στην υγείά σου! (Cheers!)

Hello crew!
I hope we find most of you reading this update from your mobile while being at the beach drinking a cocktail from a pineapple! At least that's what we dream of while working with aliens and exploring planets that are far far away...
First of all let us apologize for the delaying of this update, June was a slow month most of the work to be done is on to our manufacturer and hopefully really soon we are going to have pictures of the components being ready.
Since we can take a small brake from all the technical stuff, lets take a quick look on some fun stuff as well. We play tested recently the adventure "The Future we had" and we had so much fun made some minor story changes and we can't wait for you to play and get your feedback.
As a reminder this what takes place on the adventure :
"The crew found the remains of an ancient, long extinct alien civilization. Their name, long forgotten. Their planet, utterly destroyed. The remains of their research, invaluable and dangerous.
What dozens of aliens are searching for and are willing to kill or even die for, our crew found by accident. Now there is an amazing chase and our heroes must decide whether to use their find, defend it, or if they trust an Alien culture enough to give it to them. What’s at stake? The integrity of the fabric of the universe. What is this important discovery, you ask?
Time travel."
In this adventure you will be faced with enemies much much stronger than you. Victory will not be an option (if you do win please contact us, we will make statue of you) but you will just try to survive. If you manage to survive long enough, get strong enough , build your ship to be powerful enough then you might be able to help your younger self, survive.
You will also meet new unique individuals unique to the adventure which can be a dreadful enemy or a powerful ally.. at a price.
We can't wait to see what kind of paradox you will create in your campaign!

Hello Crew!
We hope you are all safe and well and we wish a lovely summer to all! Summer here in Greece is pretty much the best time of the year and always a big deal!
USS Freedom progress is steady, although somewhat slow but we have pretty much everything under control.
One very important milestone has just been reached! As most of you have probably heard, one of the biggest challenges in the industry currently is transportation of any kind. We have had some delays and some problems, but our last components (the metal coins) have finally reached our manufacturer and now patiently wait to be placed in your board game box and sail into the infinity of space!

Hello Crew,
Production is moving forward more slowly than expected, but we are getting there! There were some challenges that we did not expect, but we are overcoming each of those one by one. As time goes by, things look more positive than the day before.
Proofing and translation were also more difficult that we thought. To be honest, we are still struggling to find the optimal strategy for both.
As far as production, we covered most things on the previous update, so in this one we want to talk about some gameplay modules!
PVP
Almost every time we were playing a free roam or campaign combat, we had to work together towards a strategy that would win us the fight, or at least ensure our survival. And, of course, we had different approaches most of the time. So, the captain’s badge dictated whose strategy to follow, and of course we followed each captain’s order because we know that discord in the crew means a screaming death. Well, screaming is optional, but death is certain.
So, from the debate of what strategy is best, PvP mode was born. It started just as a joke, but we had so much fun that we had to include it!
Enough designer’s diary now, let’s see how it works. First, decide a level of play. This will give you a certain number of credits to use for ship upgrades. Players go back and forth buying ship upgrades until the predetermined credits run out. Then you draft Heroes, drawing pairs and selecting one to recruit until each player has a full team.
The game can have an objective where players compete to finish it first, or it could be a simple death match till just one crew is left floating in space.
There is another even more brutal version of PvP: ground combat PvP! Nothing more refreshing than driving your hammer all the way into the face of your opponent! Again, due to our new design of the much larger ground combat map, you can compete in many gameplay styles like diffuse the bomb or capture the point etc. or just a plain old deathmatch!
Co-Op PVE
Of course, the two spaceships didn’t only bring thoughts of contest, discord, and mayhem; we also realized we were a force to be reckoned with together! So, we created a module where two crews on two different ships can fight enemies as a team! It’s such an adrenaline rush when you go all out offense, and you are only counting on your partner to keep you alive!!
Of course, in many of those scenarios, one crew is in space, providing air support, and the other team is engaging in ground combat on a distant planet or enemy space base. One less-than-perfectly-accurate shot and it is team wipe from friendly fire!!

USS Freedom April Update
Hello Crew!
This is the Dreamcraft Games team speaking while struggling in through most difficult times.
We had serious production problems that were our fault with our previous game, and we are fighting hard to finish production on both games in the next few months.
I know this sounds bad and discouraging, but it is the truth and we have made mistakes.
We will not let these go into production though. We prefer to take the hit and endure the delay in order to have everything ready rather than have even one small piece in our game be less than the best.
Regarding the mini campaign that we have announced. We decided that we should not go to Kickstarter again for the mini campaign until all games are on a ship heading your way. This is really important for our honor as we want every one of you to know that their game is traveling towards them before we go to Kickstarter again.
This raises two concerns that we have tackled. The first one is how to know which language each person wants before we send the games. This should not be a problem because there will be many copies traveling to each fulfilment center in various languages. The mini campaign will occur AFTER the games are sailing towards you but before they reach their destination, so we will be able to get language details during the mini campaign. Once the games arrive at the fulfilment center, everyone will get a copy in the language they chose.
The second problem is that the second campaign is needed to bring in more backers in order to be able to pay for all the extra additions that you will get for free as discussed previously. In light of these developments, we will absorb the cost of the manufacturing of all the extra components and include them anyway. The mini campaign will either be a success and we will be able to make back our investment, or it will fail and we will lose it. Either way, you will get the game with all the extra stuff because, quite simply, our game is much better now with all these upgrades, and we want you to have the best game we could made no matter the cost.
(Yes, we know. We are great designers but much worst businessmen.)
This is all for now…we hope to have much more to show you with pre-production photos sometime next month. Since we do not know the exact date, we will notify you in the comments when the factory gives us a date. We will post an extra update as soon as we have them so we do not waste any time showing you.
